Join the discovery of new and exciting medical applications. A contribution to the ASLMS Research Fund provides a way for every member to participate in important research efforts.
The ASLMS Board of Directors has established a fund specifically to provide research grants to foster the development of laser and energy-based technology in health care. The ASLMS Research and Development Committee annually awards these grants to members to support developments that improve patient care.
ASLMS's support, not just once but twice, for early-career investigators like me sends a powerful message: bold ideas deserve a platform, and young scientists deserve a chance to lead. I'm proud to be part of that legacy.
Your Contribution Will Make an Impact.
Individuals in post-doctoral or residency training programs have been able to use ASLMS-funded research as a catalyst to be successful in multiple ways, such as publishing, continued research, and obtaining other funding.
Additionally, ASLMS dedicates research fund resources to support undergraduate and graduate students. Through these funds, students gain the valuable experience necessary to advance career development.
Your donation is deductible under federal tax laws. All inquiries regarding ASLMS and its charitable solicitation registration, including requests for a copy of ASLMS’ financial statement, may be directed to ASLMS.
$25 - $99 Catalyst
A catalyst provokes change. Every single dollar you contribute to the ASLMS Research Program can have an immediate impact on the future of laser surgery arid medicine. Be a “Catalyst” and help us “jump start” laser research by encouraging all members to give.
$100 - $499 Futurist
Our futures as medical professionals, physicians, and scientists will be largely shaped by new developments and opportunities resulting from laser research. Become a “Futurist” and help improve patient care for the next generation.
$500 - $999 Explorer
Discoveries happen when curiosity leads to action. ASLMS “Explorers” add vital creative energy to science and are not afraid to venture into unknown territory. As an “Explorer,” you help nurture new ideas and new ways of thinking.
$1,000 - $2,499 Innovator
Innovators are change leaders. The development of new technologies advances the biomedical applications of lasers and other related technologies. As an ASLMS “Innovator,” you are receptive to new ideas and technologies.
$2,500 - $4,999 Visionary
True leaders envision a better world and will motivate others to get there. As an ASLMS “Visionary,” your leadership is an inspiration to the medical laser world.
$5,000+ Luminary
There are those in our field with truly revolutionary ideas, astounding insights, and a rare ability to help light the way for others. ASLMS “Luminaries” are shining examples of the entrepreneurial and scientific spirit that created this Society.
